How to get 8 bands in IELTS?

Achieving 8 bands in IELTS is a big thing, and you have to work on specific tips and strategies to reach it. If you want to get 8 bands in listening and reading, then it means you have to get 89%. It means that in these two sections, you should get 36 correct questions out of 40.

However, in speaking and writing, there are specific skills and requirements that the test taker must meet to get 8 bands. Here we are going to discuss the strategies and tips for getting 8 bands in the IELTS exam. There are several things which the test taker has to understand, which includes different tricks. Listening

There are some points that you should remember while taking the listening test. These points are as follows:

Listen to English Language Daily

Listening to the English language every day will enhance your vocabulary and tell you about the different accents. In this way, you will be able to understand various accents of the English language. That will be helpful in the listening section. You can also improve your sentence structure and framing by listening to English daily. There are a lot of online resources that give you listening options.

Active Listening

When you listen to a speech or extract, you should give full attention and focus to it during the test. As in the listening test, the audio is played one by one. You should be able to understand the different audios. During your practice before the test, listening actively will help you build your vocabulary that is important for the IELTS exam.

Planning and Strategy

It would be best if you planned what strategy you would follow in the test. Planning before and having a system will help you go through the test efficiently. Find the Answer in the Question

Know the Difference

Spend one minute per question

It is advisable to give only one minute to each question. If you are stuck at the reading section’s start, then do not waste time finding its answer. Spend only one minute on it and then move to the next question. You will get 40 minutes for 40 questions. So it’s better to manage your time and give one minute to each question.

Fluency

Pronunciation
